Tile Workshop

Tile Workshop is a 20-level sliding tile puzzle: the first 8 levels are played on a 3×3 board, the other 12 on a 4×4 board. You put the numbered tiles in order row by row, starting from 1; the gap stays in the bottom-right corner.

Step by step

1. Tap a tile in the same row or column as the gap; it slides toward the gap along with the tiles in between. Swipes and the arrow keys push the tile next to the gap in that direction.
2. Every tile that slides counts as 1 slide. The ★★★ pill at the top shows the limit for 3 stars: 2 more than the shortest solution.
3. You get 1 hint per level; it highlights the next tile on the way to the solution, and if you use it, you get at most 2 stars on that level. Undo and Restart carry no penalty.
4. Each level you finish unlocks the next; the Daily workbench on the map offers one of the 4×4 boards every day.

Tips

• The colored stripe on a tile shows the row it belongs in. Complete the top row first, then move on to the rows below without breaking it.
• On a 4×4 board, finish the left column after the top row; the remaining 3×3 area is solved just like the early levels.
