Color Islands

In Color Islands, the region marked ⚑ in the top-left corner is your island; the level ends when you paint the whole board one color. The first 4 levels are 6×6 with 4 colors, and the last 4 levels are 10×10 with 6 colors.

Step by step

1. Tap one of the color buttons below, or a square of that color on the board: your island turns that color and absorbs the same-colored squares it touches. On a keyboard, pick a color with the left and right arrow keys and paint with Space.
2. Every paint is 1 move. If the board isn’t a single color before you hit the limit, you lose the level; Undo gives back the move you spent.
3. Gray rocks arrive from level 9 on; rocks never take paint and don’t need to be filled.
4. Matching the reference solution’s move count earns 3 stars. Your single hint tells you the next color; if you use it, you can’t get 3 stars.

Tips

• Before you tap a color, check how many squares it will add to your island and which color it will open up next.
• Grab color branches that stretch to the far corners of the board early; if scattered small patches are left for the last moves, the limit may not be enough.
