Number Orchard

Keep merging matching numbers to reach the tile that says 512. Number Orchard is an untimed puzzle played on a 4×4 board. When the board fills up and no moves are left, the game ends.

Step by step

1. The game starts with 2 small tiles. Swipe in a direction on a touchscreen or press an arrow key: every tile on the board slides that way.
2. When 2 tiles with the same number collide, they become a single tile and their values add up; two 8s make a 16. A tile can only merge once per move.
3. After every valid move, a new tile appears on an empty square; it’s usually a 2, sometimes a 4. A move that doesn’t shift any tile doesn’t count.
4. Every number created by a merge is added to your score. The bar at the top shows how close your biggest tile is to the 512 goal.

Tips

• Keep your biggest tile in a corner and use the direction that would pull it out of the corner as little as possible.
• Keep the row with your corner tile in order from biggest to smallest; that way, new merges move step by step toward the big tile.
