How to play Roundabout Ace
The roundabout never stops: the moment you tap, the next car heads for the ring. Think half a second ahead, merge every car without a crash and slot it right behind the one in front to leave room on the ring. Over 6 levels the ring fills up and speeds up, and close-call merges earn streak points and stars; if you lose, you continue from the level you reached.
Roundabout Ace is a 6-level roundabout game: in every level you send 4 to 8 cars into the ring before time runs out, without a crash. A car that gets in keeps circling the ring until the level ends.
Step by step
- Tap the play area, click, or press Space, Enter or the up arrow: the next car heads for the ring.
- Merging takes about half a second. Too tight a gap at the merge point is a crash; a tight but workable gap is a close call, and a wide gap is a clean merge.
- A single crash ends the level. You also lose if time runs out or the remaining cars no longer fit; the ROOM number in the middle of the ring shows how much comfortable space is left.
- Level 3 brings Bolt, a car that merges fast, and level 4 brings Chunky, which merges slowly; you can see which type is coming next ahead of time.
Tips
- Close-call merges build a streak score: it starts at 150, adds 50 with every new one and caps at 350. A clean merge is worth 100 points and resets the streak.
- Level stars: finishing, finishing with the timer at least 30% full, and merging half your cars with a close call.
- After you lose, Play again takes you back to the start of the level you reached; Start over (or the down arrow) sends you back to level 1.
