Chain Drift

A 50-second drift session. The car goes around a circular track on its own; your goal is to reach 850 points before time runs out. Points only come while you’re drifting inside the golden ring.

Step by step

1. Hold Space or the Drift on button: the car slides out wide. Let go and it tightens back in.
2. Your chain grows the longer you drift inside the golden ring. The longer the chain, the more points you earn per second, peaking at the 5th second.
3. Drifting heats your tires. At 92% heat, points stop flowing; at 100% you lose 80 points and get thrown into the ring.
4. On the keyboard, the right arrow slides the car out and the left arrow slides it in. On touch, tapping the track switches the drift on and off.

Tips

• Letting go resets the chain, but heat drops faster than it climbed while drifting. Take a short cooldown break once the heat bar turns red.
• Start your drift from the inner edge of the ring and ease the outward slide with the left arrow; you’ll stay in the ring longer.
