Dust Compass

A single-stage rally slalom. Gates numbered 1 to 12 come at you in order, each one a passage between 2 flags. You need to clear at least 10 of them to win the stage.

Step by step

1. The car moves forward on its own. Steer with the left/right arrows or by clicking the track; on touch, hold your finger on the track and slide it, and the car steers that way at its steering speed.
2. When a gate reaches the car’s position, being between its flags counts as a clear and earns 100 points.
3. Every gate you miss counts as a mistake. The stage ends on your 3rd mistake; once all 12 gates have gone by, you win if you passed at least 10.
4. Holding Space or the Brake button slows the car down. Gates then reach you later, giving you time to line up.

Tips

• Gates come from different sides of the road; start moving over that way the moment you spot the next one.
• Braking doesn’t cost points; use it without hesitation when you need a big sideways move between 2 gates.
• A bonus is added for every gate you clear by the end of the stage; a full 12 clears gives the highest score.
