Pixel Tapestry

In Pixel Tapestry, you uncover a hidden picture from row and column numbers. The first 6 patterns are 5×5, the next 8 are 6×6 and the last 10 are 7×7; when you finish a pattern, its name is revealed.

Step by step

1. The numbers to the left of a row and above a column give the lengths, in order, of the unbroken filled groups in that line; there’s at least 1 empty square between groups.
2. Use Fill to paint squares you’re sure of and Mark to put an × on squares that stay empty. Drag along a line to work on many squares at once; on a keyboard, select with the arrow keys and apply with Space.
3. Painting a square that should stay empty, or marking a filled one, costs a heart; 3 mistakes end the level.
4. In completed lines, the remaining empty squares get an × automatically. Finish without mistakes for 3 stars; a pattern where you use a hint earns at most 2 stars.

Tips

• Start with lines whose numbers are close to the line’s length. In a 7-square line, a group of 5 always fills the 3 middle squares.
• When you’re unsure, switch to another line; every square you settle there gives new information to the line it crosses.
