How to play Neon Current

Dodge obstacles on a neon highway, collect energy and raise your shield at just the right moment. The road never ends: after 75 seconds, a checkpoint arrives every 45 seconds, each one faster. Chain energy pickups to grow your score.

An endless highway run across 3 lanes. A single crash ends your run. The first checkpoint comes at 75 seconds, then a new one every 45 seconds. The road gets faster over time.

Step by step

  1. Your car starts in the middle lane. On a keyboard, the arrow keys or A/D move you one lane over; on a touchscreen, tap the lane you want to move to.
  2. Every wave of obstacles leaves at least 1 lane open, and the energy cell sits in that open lane.
  3. Hit a barrier without your shield and the run ends. With the shield up, you bounce off the barrier and keep going.
  4. The shield stays up for only a moment and takes 9 seconds to recharge. Every energy cell you collect shortens that wait a little.
  5. Every checkpoint brings a bonus. Pass at least one and the run counts as a win.

Tips

  • From one wave to the next, the safe lane shifts by 1 lane at most; follow the energy and it leads you to the right lane.
  • Each energy cell you collect in a row is worth more. Missing a single cell resets the chain.
  • From the 4th wave on, 2 lanes can close at once; save your shield for moments like that.
