How to play Spark Snake

Steer a snake that grows longer as it collects sparks. Don’t hit your own trail or the walls; quick turns are queued in order, and you can slow time in tight corners. A new level every 10 sparks.

A snake game played on a grid. Every 10 sparks take you to a new level, and the snake speeds up a little with each spark. The snake has only 1 life.

Step by step

  1. The snake starts 4 segments long, heading up. Turn it with the arrow keys or the direction buttons.
  2. With the mouse or touch, press on the side you want the snake to turn toward, relative to its head.
  3. Each spark makes the snake 1 segment longer and gives 100 points.
  4. Hit a wall or your own body and the round ends. Clear at least 1 level and the round counts as a win.
  5. Slow (Space) slows the snake down for 2 seconds, then recharges in 6 seconds.

Tips

  • If you enter 2 turns quickly, they’re applied in order. For a tight U-turn, enter both directions one after the other.
  • The snake can’t reverse; pressing the opposite of your current direction does nothing.
  • Turn on the slowdown just before you enter a tight corner.
