How to play Summit Torque

Balance the gas against engine cooling to make it up a 1,500 m hill. Grab fuel at the stations, rest the engine when it overheats and keep your car level.

A 1,500-meter hill road full of ups and downs. Get to the summit without flipping the car or running out of fuel, and you win. Distance, fuel and engine heat stay on screen the whole time.

Step by step

  1. The up arrow, Space, the Gas button or holding the screen gives gas. Let off the gas and the car slows down while the engine cools.
  2. Gas and an uphill slope lift the car’s nose; slowing down and a downhill slope drop it. Lean forward with the right arrow and back with the left arrow to keep the balance meter centered.
  3. Rear up too far or tip too far forward and the car flips, ending the round. Run out of fuel and you also lose.
  4. There’s a fuel station every 400 meters: pass one and fuel is added to your tank along with 150 points.

Tips

  • Gas cuts out once engine heat reaches 96%. Ease off the gas briefly before a steep climb to cool it down.
  • Fuel burns much faster with the gas held down; letting off on the downhills saves both fuel and heat.
  • Fuel left at the summit is added to your finishing score.
