Rapids Run

Race 2 laps of an 8-buoy water course. Clear all 16 buoys in order and the cup is yours. The current keeps pushing your boat sideways, and rocks damage the hull.

Step by step

1. Turn the rudder with the left/right arrows, or click where you want to go. On touch, tap or hold the target and the rudder turns that way.
2. The next buoy glows orange with an open ring around it. Passing near it is enough; each buoy is worth 140 points.
3. Space or the Thrust button gives a 1.2-second burst of speed. Then you wait about 3.5 seconds for the bar in the top right to refill.
4. Hitting a rock throws the boat’s nose off course and costs 1 hull hit. The race ends on the 5th hit.

Tips

• The current’s direction shifts with where you are on the course and with time. Point the nose slightly upstream of your target.
• Since the rudder turns at a fixed speed, turns widen while you’re thrusting; use thrust on the straight stretches.
• Time left when you finish the course is added to your score.
