Lantern Grove

A short watch in the forest where you try to hold out for 45 seconds. Shadows come from every side and grow more frequent as time passes. You start with 5 lives; when time runs out, the watch is won.

Step by step

1. Walk the scout with the mouse, your finger or the arrow keys. Your lantern fires on its own at the nearest shadow in range.
2. Most shadows fade after 2 shots, some after 3. A shadow that touches you costs a life.
3. A shadow that fades drops a light seed a short distance away. The seed disappears after 5 seconds; walk over it to collect it.
4. Every 4th seed you collect restores a life; you can have up to 5 lives.
5. The light wave (Space or the Wave button) clears all nearby shadows at once, then recharges in 5 seconds.

Tips

• Don’t stand still: seeds scatter outward from where a shadow fell, so you need to walk to restore lives.
• Your lantern’s range is limited. Circle the edge of a crowd instead of diving into the middle.
• Each life left at the end earns extra points. Finish without taking any damage for a bigger bonus.
