Green Baize

A pool tournament against 3 rivals, playing 8-ball. You play a single match per round, and losing ends the tournament. Rivals get more accurate round by round, while your aiming guide gets shorter.

Step by step

1. Click the table to lock your aim, drag the power bar and hit SHOOT. Or press the cue ball, pull it back and release; direction and power follow your pull.
2. On an open table, the first ball you pocket sets your group: solids (1–7) or stripes (9–15).
3. Pocket a ball from your own group and your turn continues. Pocketing the cue ball, hitting nothing, or hitting the rival’s group first are all fouls; the cue ball returns to its starting spot and the turn passes to your rival.
4. Once your group is cleared, pocketing the 8-ball wins the match. Pocket it early or with a foul and you lose the match.

Tips

• In the 1st round, the guide also shows the direction the ball you hit will travel. In later rounds, the guide gets shorter and you read the angle yourself.
• On an open table, hitting the 8-ball first is also a foul.
• Finishing the tournament in fewer shots raises your championship score.
