How to play Clean Hit

Time your swing to meet the incoming pitch inside the hitting zone. Make 5 clean contacts out of 8 pitches; the closer you hit to dead center, the more points you earn.

An 8-pitch baseball batting series. You need to meet every pitch from the pitcher inside the hit ring. Make clean contact on at least 5 of the 8 pitches and the series is yours.

Step by step

The ball comes toward you from the pitcher. Press Space or the Swing button to swing the bat.
Hit the ball while it’s inside the ring below and it counts as clean contact, worth 140 points. Catch it dead center and it’s a Clean hit! worth 250 points.
You get 1 swing per pitch: swing early or late and the ball counts as missed. Don’t swing at all and the ball goes by, which is also a miss.
Every new pitch comes in a little faster than the last.

Tips

A NEXT PITCH label shows on screen before the ball comes out; pressing then costs you nothing. Once WAIT FOR THE RING appears, don’t rush.
Since you need 5 hits, you can afford to miss at most 3 pitches. The last pitches are the fastest, so move your timing earlier for them.
