How to play Felt Army

Build an army of felt dolls and bring down the castles of 4 generals. Grow your wool economy with gatherers, play Shieldbearers, Slingers and Spearmen against each other, and pound the walls with the Battering Ram. Set the pace of battle with attack and defend orders.

In Felt Army, you build an army of felt dolls and fight 4 generals one after another. Your castle sits at the bottom, your rival’s at the top.

Step by step

  1. Tap the cards at the bottom to spend wool: a Gatherer grows your income, a Tower throws stones at enemies nearing your castle. On the keyboard, the left/right arrows pick a card and Space builds it.
  2. The counter triangle: Spearman beats Shieldbearer, Slinger wears down Spearman from range, Shieldbearer holds against sling stones. The Battering Ram unlocks in the second battle: strong on walls, weak against units.
  3. On the Defend order, units wait on the line in front of your castle; on Attack, they march on your rival’s castle. On the keyboard, the up arrow orders attack and the down arrow orders defense.
  4. After 2 minutes, both castles’ walls start wearing down. Lose your castle and the game ends; between battles, you choose 1 of 3 upgrades.

Tips

  • Bring out whatever beats the unit your rival is running: Spearman against Shieldbearer, Slinger against Spearman, Shieldbearer against Slinger.
  • Once the walls start wearing down, whoever has the sturdier walls wins; protecting your castle matters as much as hitting your rival, right up to that point.
