How to play Giant Apprentice

Giant Apprentice is a gate runner: the apprentice runs automatically and you steer through number gates to build up power. Pocket-marked gates stash their operation in the apron, you get past the road guards, and at the end of each level you take on the guard giant in a tug of war. There are 24 levels.

Slide the self-running apprentice left and right through plus, minus, times and divide gates. Stash a pocket-marked gate in the apron: set off the multiplier after the plus gates and throw the divider at the giant ahead. Get past the road guards, then take on the guard giant in a tug of war at the end of each level. 24 levels and a new course every day.

Step by step

  1. The apprentice runs automatically. Slide left and right with your finger or the mouse; on a keyboard, each press of A/D or the arrow keys moves one lane.
  2. Plus and times gates raise your power, minus and divide gates lower it. Don’t crash into the stone pillar between two gates.
  3. A pocket-marked gate stashes its operation in the apron. Space or the pocket button uses the multiplier at once; a flick up or ↑ throws the divider at the giant ahead.
  4. If you lack the power to pass a guard, you lose. At the end of a level you take on the guard giant in a tug of war: tap or press when the ring glows.

Tips

  • Use the multiplier after the plus gates, and save the divider for a strong guard.
  • If you hit a log, the operation in your pocket drops. On the rope, press only while the ring glows.
